This was a nice small diner on route 1 in Norwalk.  Penne chicken alfredo and chicken parm grinder were both excellent.  Also, the waitress was very nice.

Penny’s II has a very “dinerish” feel to it – a little small but it felt like you were in a true diner car!  Waitress was great and manager kept checking on the customers, food was also very good.

We came here the day after a big snow storm and were pleased to find it open but we had some trouble parking since there was snow everywhere.  There was one waitress working and one table other than us but she was not very attentive.  I ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich without blue cheese; the order came out fairly quickly but it had blue cheese on it.  Once the order was corrected it was very good and the manager took the meal off of the bill.  Weighing out the food being good but the service not being up to par and the manager taking care of the meal – this was an average experience.  I’ll give the benefit of the doubt to them that the waitress was probably very busy being the only one working and more than likely did not expect too many customers because of the weather.

The appearance threw us off at first as the diner is in an old McDonald’s building but don’t let that fool you. We decided to do breakfast this time and had pancakes, scrambled eggs and bacon which were excellent. The pancakes were especially good, they’re thick and rich. They also had great coffee. If anyone has had dinner here please tell us your opinion!!

Orem’s was very crowded when we arrived so we knew it was a good sign.  Food was delicious and we had an excellent overall experience.  The chicken parmigiana was amazing!

The wait staff was very friendly and accommodating.  Started out with an excellent salad and cup of coffee followed by a very good cheeseburger deluxe.  The cheese ravioli was also excellent.
